Alice in wonderland series 1

I will post this night the long avaited(?) surprise.
A whole series for my subject called "Illustration".

I will write for each entry what was the assignment.

Here I post as first the front cover (the half of whole cover) for book. I decided to make cover for "Alice in wonderland" since I like the story so much.

It was suppose to be colored graphic work - I choose ink pen and aqua colors to make it. The format was adjusted similar to A3.

It is a little prank or tribute actually.
I as my little self (as kid) meet Bel (Caterpillar) my dear friend from Lj community. She send me photo of herself so I could make her portrait.

I tried to make Bel very symbolic - colors light and dark blue and shades of violet. I put her on General clothing and Turkish sleeping cap with gold ornament and made her glasses a gold frame. She also is in charge and leaning to see me trying to take a look on her.
